What is a Tea Ceremony?

Cha Dao “The Way of Tea” is a practice that comes from ancient Chinese lineage. It has been used since its discovery by the Daoists and Sages as a form of medicine and a way to cultivate awakened presence and sustaining long states of meditation.
Tea is a plant teacher, a spirit of Nature, manifested through this Leaf and awakened by hot water which is considered the mother of the Tea.

Tea helps us purify the senses and to connect with what is natural inside of us which connects us to Nature through the reminder of us being the Nature. Or most of us lost connection with Nature. Because we lost connection with ourselves. We feel agitated, anxious and lost because we lost the way to our own hearts. Tea Ceremony is the way to find and connect to your Heart. To your essence.

I was born and grew up in Republic of Moldova in a small village by the river where I explored every single plant existing in that area since I was a little girl. The beginning of story of me connecting with Tea, i believe, starts with me being raised in a family where the tea was present 24/7 as a beverage, as medicine, as a way to gather together . Fast forward in 2018 i have been called by the plant to become mindfully in the way i was drinking the tea and living my life. That was the moment i encountered and have been studying a lineage of Cha Dao “The Way of Tea” with my teacher WuDe, working with Zen and Tea as a daily practice to cultivate stillness, presence and tranquility. Whether serving traditional Tea Ceremonies to communities or doing my everyday tea practice ,for me is a way of living and honoring life through ritual.
